When registering your permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia, proof of the right of residence at the address of your choice must be attached. The following will be considered proof: declaration of ownership or co-ownership, a tenancy or sublet agreement, proof of usufruct, occupancy or easement of the dwelling, proof of the right of superficies, proof of life estate and subsistence right, consent of the owner, a co-owner or the landlord. The registration and change of a permanent residence in the Republic of Sloveia are within the competence of any administrative unit.
- Registration of a permanent address abroad
When registering a permanent address abroad, it should be composed of country name and code, name of the local area, if there is any, town, street, house number, and addition to the house number and apartment number, if any, postcode and post town or other information considered abroad as part of the address. Proof of the right of residence need not be provided when registering a permanent address abroad. An individual may have an address for service only at the address of their declared permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia.
The registration and change of a permanent address abroad are within the competence of any administrative unit as well as all diplomatic representations and consular posts of the Republic of Slovenia abroad.
