You can register, deregister or change your temporary residence or address abroad by submitting an electronic application to the competent administrative unit. This administrative action may also be carried out on behalf of the individual by another person holding their written power of attorney. An individual who lacks legal capacity should have their registration, change or deregistration arranged for by their parents, by one of the parents with the other parent's consent or by another legal representative.

- Temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia
The registration and change of a temportary residence in the Republic of Slovenia are within the competence of any administrative unit. After entering a new address, in certain cases proof of the right of residence at the address of your choice must be attached.
- Address abroad
You can apply to register a temporary address abroad at any administrative unit.
When registering a temporary address abroad, it should be composed of country name and code, name of the suburban area, if there is any, town, street, house number, and addition to the house number and apartment number, if any, postcode and post town or other information considered abroad as part of the address. Proof of the right of residence does not need to be provided when registering a temporary address abroad.
An individual may have an address for service only at the address of their declared permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia.

Complete, print, sign and send the form and any attachments to the address of the administrative unit in whose territory you are registering your temporary residence, or send a scanned copy of the form and any attachments to the competent local administrative unit's email address.

If you are registering, deregistering or changing your temporary address abroad, you can address your application to any administrative unit, diplomatic representation or consular post of the Republic of Slovenia abroad.
