With the application, a person can apply to be entered in the register of providers of physical therapy at the ministry responsible for healthcare.
Instructions
You can submit an application for entry in the register of physiotherapists by using your digital identity. After registration, some of your personal data is automatically uploaded to the form, and you can also save the application in a mailbox on the eAdministration portal.
The required appendices must be attached to the application and the costs of the administrative fee for the submission of the electronic application must be covered with an online payment.

To submit the application you need
- proof of appropriate education,
- proof of passing a professional examination,
- proof of knowledge of the Slovenian language (if you acquired your education or qualification abroad),
- a scanned copy of the decision of the Ministry of Health recognising a professional qualification obtained abroad (if you acquired your education or qualification abroad).
If you have been recognised with a professional qualification from another member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation (general system of recognition), you must attach to the application a decision on the recognition of the professional qualification based on the Act Regulating the Procedure for the Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Practising Regulated Professions (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 39/16, 47/19, 92/21 and 76/23).
If you have been recognised with a professional qualification acquired in one of the republics of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia or in a third country, you must attach to the application a decision on the recognition of the professional qualification based on the Rules on internship and professional examinations of healthcare workers and healthcare assistants in the field of healthcare services (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 76/22, 58/23 and 97/23).
Knowledge of the Slovenian language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is also required for entry in the register. Knowledge of the Slovenian language can be proven:
- with proof that the person has finished at least secondary school in the Slovenian language in the Republic of Slovenia,
- with a certificate proving that the person has passed a test of knowledge of the professional Slovenian language for healthcare workers or healthcare assistants, or
- with proof from a public higher education institution in the Republic of Slovenia or abroad, which teaches and administers an examination in Slovenian as a second or foreign language, that the person has passed a test of knowledge of the Slovenian language (e.g. the Centre for Slovenian as a Second or Foreign Language at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana).
Any proof in a foreign language must be translated into the Slovenian language by an official court interpreter. A translation by an official court interpreter certified by a competent authority is considered a certified translation.

Instructions
To be entered in the register of physiotherapists, it is necessary to fill out an application form and provide prescribed attachments.
You must also enclose proof of the administrative fee paid for your application (administrative fee in the amount of EUR 22.60 is payable to the government sub-account, other non-tax revenue of the state, 1000 Ljubljana, account number 01100 – 1000315637 and reference 11 27111-7111002).
The application, together with supporting documents, must be submitted during office hours at: Ministry of Health, Štefanova ulica 5, 1000 Ljubljana.
To submit the application you need
