Change of residence, residence registration: Registration, de-registration of temporary residence
Temporary residence is any residence where an individual stays or temporarily resides due to work, schooling or other reasons, but has no intention to reside there permanently.
An individual must register temporary residence if he/she settles or temporarily resides outside the settlement of permanent or temporary residence, in facilities such as holiday homes, apartments and other buildings, if he/she intends to reside there for more than 90 days.
An individual must register temporary residence within three days of the settlement or the receipt of a temporary residence permit for a foreigner or a certificate of the registration of residence in the Republic of Slovenia.
An individual who leaves the temporary residence before the expiry is obliged to de-register the temporary residence.
The registration of temporary residence may last up to 2 years; after the expiry, the registration may be renewed at the same address.
